Version 2026-10-09.
The short version. Dont You Do It puts a shield in front of the apps you choose, for the hours you choose. It is friction, not a guarantee. Nothing can be bought to open the shield early. There is no account and no server: everything stays on your phone.
Dont You Do It is made and operated by 4V3D OÜ, a company registered in Estonia.
In these terms "we" means 4V3D OÜ. Your agreement is with the company, not with any individual.
Dont You Do It is for adults, aged 18 or over. Use it on your own phone, for yourself. Do not put it on someone else's phone, and do not use it to limit or watch another person, including a partner or a child.
On first launch you tap "Agree and continue". The version you accepted and the date are stored on your phone and nowhere else. If the terms change in a way that matters, the app asks you again.
You pick the apps that get you into trouble and a window of hours. During the window those apps sit behind a shield, and getting through takes effort on purpose.
What it does not do:
Do not shield an app you may need in an emergency, such as your phone, messages or maps app. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU). If things feel like too much, talk to a doctor or someone you trust.
Pro never changes what happens during a window. Nothing can be bought to get through the shield before its window ends. Cancelling a plan does not lift the shield either. If a paid plan ends, the shield stays in place until the window ends.
A subscription renews for the same period until you cancel. To stop the next payment, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You cancel in your Google Play or Apple account, and Settings in the app has a button that takes you there. After you cancel, Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for. Then the free plan applies: the shield covers one app, or all your browsers, and you choose which. Your history and settings stay on your phone.
Prices are shown on the purchase screen in your own currency before you pay. In the EU the price shown includes tax.
Prices. The price of a subscription can change only from a later renewal. The store tells you beforehand, and you can cancel before the new price starts.
Your plan follows your store account: on a new phone, tap "Restore purchases". Your history and settings do not move, because they exist only on the old phone. A plan bought on Google Play works on Android only, and one bought on the App Store on iPhone only.
Where you buy. You buy in the app, through Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store takes the payment and shows you the full price before you pay. In the EU that price includes tax. We never see your card details. Dont You Do It is not sold anywhere else.
These terms are between you and 4V3D OÜ. The store is not part of them. The store's own rules also apply when you buy or use the app. On iPhone, Apple's standard licence for apps also applies. These terms add to it and do not replace it. Where the two differ on what we owe you, you can rely on the one that is better for you.
On Android: version 8.0 or newer. The app needs these permissions and cannot work without them: usage access (to see which app is in front, never what is in it), display over other apps (to draw the shield), notifications, starting when the phone starts, running in the background without battery limits, and exact alarms.
On iPhone it uses Apple's Screen Time, with your permission. iPhone and Android work differently, and what the shield can cover on your phone is shown in the app.
Bought in the app. Ask the store first. It decides under its own policy. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: your order history in Google Play. On the App Store refunds are paid through Apple. On Google Play we can also refund an order ourselves. If the store says no and you think that is wrong, write to [email protected] with the order number and we will look at it. If the law says you get money back and the store does not pay it, we pay you ourselves.
In the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For a one-time purchase of digital content that right can end once it has been delivered, if you agreed to that when you paid. For a subscription the 14 days can still apply after it has started. To withdraw, tell the store or tell us, whichever is easier. A message to [email protected] with your order number, sent within the 14 days, counts. We confirm that we got it. The refund the law gives you comes through the store, or from us if the store does not pay.
Our own promise on Pay once. If you bought Pay once and ask within 30 days of buying, you get your money back. We only need the order number or receipt. On Google Play we refund the order ourselves. On the App Store only Apple can send money back through the store, so ask Apple first at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple says no, write to us within 14 days of Apple's answer and we pay you the amount by bank transfer.
Nothing in this section limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live, or under the store's policy.
Everything you put into the app stays on your phone. There is no account and no server, so we cannot see it, restore it or recover it. If you delete the app or tap "Delete all data", it is gone for good. On Android the app is kept out of cloud backup and phone-to-phone transfer on purpose.
You may install and use the app on phones you own or control, for yourself. Do not copy, resell or republish the app, or try to break it.
Dont You Do It will do what this page and the app's own description say it does. While a subscription runs, we supply the updates it needs to stay secure and keep working. We cannot promise it will never have a fault. That depends on your device and its operating system as well as on us.
If something is not working the way it is described, tell us at [email protected] and we will put it right. If we cannot, you have the remedies the law gives you, which can include a lower price or ending the contract and getting money back.
If you live in the EU, the law also gives you a guarantee that what you paid for works as described. Nothing on this page limits it.
If you bought Pay once, you get security and compatibility updates for at least two years from your purchase.
If we ever stop supporting the app, we say so in the app and on dontyoudoit.app at least 60 days beforehand. The app keeps working on your phone for as long as your phone's system allows.
We are liable to you as the law says. That includes loss we cause by breaking these terms or by being careless.
We are not liable for loss that could not have been foreseen when you agreed to these terms or started using Dont You Do It, or for loss caused by something outside our control that we could not reasonably have avoided or overcome.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury, for anything we do deliberately or with gross negligence, your rights when Dont You Do It does not do what we promised, or any other liability that the law does not let us limit.
We may change these terms or Dont You Do It for one of these reasons, and no others: a change in the law, a change in a store's rules, security, technical necessity, or adding or improving features.
When the terms change in a way that matters, we raise the version number, show the new terms and ask you to agree again. Small fixes to wording do not need a new agreement.
If a change makes Dont You Do It meaningfully worse for you, we announce it in the app and on dontyoudoit.app at least 30 days beforehand. If you do not accept the change, you can end the agreement within 30 days after it and get money back as the law provides.
We do not plan any change that takes away something you have already paid for. If one ever has to, you get your money back for it.
If you are on a subscription and a change makes the app meaningfully worse for you, you may cancel and get back the unused part of what you paid. On Google Play we refund it. On the App Store, ask Apple first. If Apple says no, write to us and we pay it ourselves.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
If something goes wrong, please write to [email protected] first. We answer a complaint in writing within 15 days. If we cannot sort it out between us, consumers in the EU can take the dispute to an out-of-court body. For us that is the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon, ttja.ee).
These terms are written in English and translated. If a translation differs from the English, the meaning that is better for you as a consumer applies.
If you live in Australia or New Zealand. For Australia: Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service. To claim, write to [email protected] or to the address in section 1. It costs you nothing. This comes on top of your other rights under that law.
For New Zealand: the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits them.
